ANA CRUZ AND TODD JOSKO will join the lobbying firm Ballard Partners. Cruz, who will work as managing partner in the firm's Tampa office, has held positions such as executive director of the Florida Democratic Party. Josko previously founded a public-affairs firm and held positions such as West Coast field director for former Gov. Jeb Bush's 1998 campaign.

JAMES "JIM" BAX, SAMUEL "CURTIS" KISER AND DONNA POOLE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Public Employees Relations Commission. Bax, of Tallahassee, is owner of Bax Enterprises LLC, and held previous positions including secretary of the Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services from 1969 to 1971. Kiser, of Lamont, is a former general counsel of the Florida Public Service Commission and previously served in the Florida House and the Florida Senate. Poole, of Tallahassee, serves as a member of the Public Employees Relations Commission.

RANDY MILLER, MELISSA JOINER RAMBA AND SAMANTHA HUNTER PADGETT have moved into top positions at the Florida Retail Federation. Miller, who has served as executive vice president, is now president and CEO. Ramba will serve as vice president of government affairs, while Padgett will serve as vice president and general counsel.

CARRIE PATRICK has been named director of advocacy for the public-affairs firm CoreMessage Inc. Patrick has served as an account manager for the firm and previously held positions such as director of legislative affairs for the Florida Lottery.

CLAUDIA PUIG has been elected chair of the Florida International University Board of Trustees. Puig, of Coral Gables, is a senior vice president and regional general manager for Univision.

KENNETH TODD, WILLIAM BRACKEN AND VIVIAN BOZA have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Professional Engineers. Todd, of West Palm Beach, is a civil engineer and water resource manager for Palm Beach County. Bracken, of Lutz, is an engineer and owner of Bracken Engineering, Inc. Boza, of Gainesville, is controller of Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc.

MICHAEL ALFIERI has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Board of Professional Geologists. Alfieri, of Odessa, is the principal hydrogeologist at Water Resource Associates, Inc.

DEBORAH "DEBBIE" COX-ROUSH has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Small Business Development Center Network State Advisory Group. Cox-Roush, of Lithia, is owner of DCR Creative Solutions of Florida.

DEWEY "PARKER" DESTIN AND ROBERT "BOBBY" GRIGGS have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Mid-Bay Bridge Authority. Destin, of Destin, is an attorney with Anchors Smith Grimsley. Griggs, of Fort Walton Beach, is self-employed in real estate and land development.

JOSEPH FINNEGAN has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Reemployment Assistance Appeals Commission. Finnegan, of Tallahassee, is a retired manager who has worked with General Electric, Aetna Life and Casualty, the Department of Financial Services, the Office of Insurance Regulation and the Department of State.

ELIZABETH LANE has been named director of education and events at LeadingAge Florida. Lane previously worked for the Florida Chapter of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists and the Florida Association of Consultant Pharmacists.
