"DISRUPT FLORIDA"
Breakout Session Theme and Topics
Announced for First Day of
Florida Leaders Summit
On September 12 and 13th, Florida’s top business, government, news media, non-profit and academic leaders will converge in Orlando for the first annual Sayfie Review Florida Leaders Summit. At the Summit, Florida’s leaders will consider and discuss the most impactful ideas, issues and trends facing our state. The Summit’s mission is “Engaging Florida’s Leaders, Shaping Florida’s Agenda, Prospering Florida’s Future.”
Thought Leadership Partners for the Summit include the Florida Council of 100, Leadership Florida, the Graham Center for Public Service at the University of Florida, the Foundation for Florida’s Future, the Florida Chamber Foundation, the AIF Foundation, the Florida Philanthropic Network, the Florida Press Association, the Florida Public Broadcast Service, Univision and the University of Miami.
We have selected a provocative theme for the breakout sessions during the first day of the Summit: “Disrupt Florida.”
In each breakout session, Summit panelists and attendees will explore the game-changing trends that are coming, how they will impact Florida’s future, and what Florida leaders must do for Florida and its people to survive and thrive.
The breakout sessions on the Summit’s first day will be as follows:
Disrupt Florida: Tourism
Disrupt Florida: Transportation
Disrupt Florida: Energy
Disrupt Florida: Education
Disrupt Florida: Health
Disrupt Florida: Water
For each topic, speakers and panelists will address the following questions with Summit attendees:
- What or who is causing or will cause disruption?
- What opportunities does the disruption provide Florida?
- What, if anything, does Florida have to fear from the disruption?
- Which state or country, if any, is either causing or attempting to harness the disruption?
- What action should Florida's leaders take to harness the disruption for the benefit of Florida?
As always, please feel free to email me at justin@sayfiemedia.com with any thoughts about the first day’s theme and breakout topics.
Stay tuned for the upcoming announcement of the theme, topics and format for the Summit’s second and final day. For more information about the Summit, click HERE.
Best regards,
Justin
