Five statewide offices will be on the ballot in 2010 (U. S. Senate, Governor, Attorney General, Chief Financial Officer and Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs) and depending on how things break, there is an outside chance that none of the offices will have an incumbent running. Mel Martinez has announced his retirement from the U. S. Senate and Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson is termed out. Crist MAY break to the U. S. Senate, a better place to build a national reputation if he decides to run for president in 2016 instead of 2012. Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink is leaning towards the Senate race, as is Attorney General Bill McCollum, but both could end up running for Governor if Crist moves into the U. S. Senate contest. Whew!

So who should run for these openings? How about everyone?
