MOHAMMAD JAZIL, RICHARD DORAN AND BENJAMIN GIBSON have appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 1st District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Jazil, of Tallahassee, is a shareholder with Hopping, Green & Sams. Doran, of Tallahassee, is a shareholder with Ausley & McMullen, P.A. and previously served as Florida attorney general. Gibson, of Tallahassee, is a partner with Shutts & Bowen, LLP.

HAROUT SAMRA, ERIC HERNANDEZ AND ADAM FOSLID have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 3rd District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Samra, of Miami, is an attorney with DLA Piper. Hernandez, of Miami, is a partner with Hernandez Lee Martinez, LLC. Foslid, of Coral Gables, is a principal shareholder with Greenberg Traurig.

D. DAVID KELLER, MARK MILLER AND RIAN BALFOUR have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 4th District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Keller, of Plantation, is a partner with Keller Landsberg, P.A.  Miller, of Palm City, is a managing attorney with Pacific Legal Foundation. Balfour, of Plantation, is deputy general counsel and vice president at Envision Physician Services.

VINCENT CITRO, R. DAVID DE ARMAS AND ANDY BARDOS have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 5th District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. Citro, of Maitland, is a partner with Horwitz & Citro, P.A. De Armas, of Orlando, is a shareholder with Cramer, Price & de Armas. Bardos, of Melbourne, is a shareholder with GrayRobinson. 

BRUCE DEARDOFF AND EDGAR FIGUEROA have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Eastern Florida State College Board of Trustees. Deardoff, of Cocoa Beach, is chairman of Deardoff Automotive Group. Figueroa, of Melbourne, is a trauma surgeon with Health First Melbourne.

KAREN BOWLING, CANDY HOLLOWAY AND THERESA GRAHAM have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida State College at Jacksonville Board of Trustees. Bowling, of Jacksonville, is president of Thrive Consulting, LLC. Holloway, of Bryceville, is retired executive director of the Ark of Nassau. Graham, of Jacksonville, is a Realtor.

BRUCE LAISHLEY, JONATHAN MARTIN AND DANNY NIX have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida SouthWestern State College Board of Trustees. Laishley, of Punta Gorda, is co-owner of Smuggler’s Enterprises, Inc, chief executive officer of Florida Premier Contractors, LLC and co-owner of Southwest Land Developers, Inc. Martin, of Fort Myers, is an attorney with Parvey & Frankel Attorneys, P.A. Nix, of Punta Gorda, is owner of Nix & Associates Real Estate, LLC.

ALTON WILLIAMS JR., BILLY WASHINGTON AND SANDRA HAAS have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the North Florida Community College Board of Trustees. Williams, of Live Oak, is retired sheriff of Suwannee County. Washington, of Pinetta, is past president of Briggs, Washington and Thompson Land Surveying, Inc. and serves as the Madison County clerk of court. Haas, of McAlpin, is a retired attorney for the 3rd Circuit for Guardian Ad Litem in Florida.

KRISTIN HAUL AND DANA MATTHEWS have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 1st Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Haul, of Pensacola, is an assistant county attorney in Escambia County. Matthews, of Santa Rosa Beach, is a partner with Matthews & Jones, LLP. 

HAYDEN DEMPSEY, ERIK “RICK” FIGLIO AND DARRICK MCGHEE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 2nd Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Dempsey, of Tallahassee, is a shareholder with Greenberg Traurig. Figlio, of Tallahassee, is a shareholder with Ausley & McMullen, P.A. McGhee, of Tallahassee, is vice president of government relations at Johnson & Blanton.

CANDICE BROWER AND NORM FUGATE have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 8th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.  Brower, of Gainesville, is regional counsel for the Office of Criminal Conflict and civil regional counsel for the 1st District Court of Appeal region. Fugate, of Williston, is president of Norm D. Fugate, P.A. 

PATRICE BEHNSTEDT, TIMOTHY MCCAUSLAND, KRISTA MAHALAK AND E. BLAKE PAUL have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 10th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Behnstedt, of Bartow, is an assistant public defender in the 10th Judicial Circuit. McCausland, of Lakeland, is Lakeland city attorney. Mahalak, of Winter Haven, is an attorney with Sharit, Bunn & Chilton, P.A. Paul, of Lakeland, in a shareholder with Peterson & Myers.

J. CARTER ANDERSEN, CHRISTINE DERR AND THOMAS NEWCOMB HYDE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 13th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Andersen, of Tampa, is a shareholder with Bush Ross, P.A. Derr, of Tampa, practices with Harris, Hunt & Derr, P.A. Hyde, of Tampa, is a solo practitioner.

JOHN MACELUCH JR., ROBERT SALE AND J. ADAM ALBRITTON have been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 14th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. ADAM WEISHOLTZ has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 15th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Weisholtz, of Boca Raton, is assistant chief counsel with the U.S Department of Homeland Security. 

ROGET BRYAN, TIMOTHY THOMES AND GEORGE WALLACE have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 16th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Bryan, of Tavernier, is village attorney for Islamorada, Village of Islands. Thomes, of Key Largo, is a shareholder with the Gunster firm. Wallace, of Key West, is an assistant city attorney for Key West. 

DONNA VALIN has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 18th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Valin, of Winter Park, is economic crimes Central Florida bureau chief for the Office of the Attorney General. 

BARBARA KREITZ COOK AND ROBERT SCHWERER have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 19th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Cook, of Stuart, is owner of Barb Cook Law PLLC. Schwerer is managing shareholder with Hayskar, Walker, Schwerer Dundas & McCain, PA.

TYLER MORRIS AND WHITNEY HARRIS have been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Independent Living Council. Morris, of Jacksonville, is executive director for Independent Living Resource Center, Jacksonville Center for Independent Living. Harris, of Tallahassee, is comptroller for the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology.

GERALD D. ROBINSON has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Public Swimming and Bathing Facilities Advisory Review Board. Robinson, of Auburndale, is a professional engineer with the Florida Department of Health.

JAY BEYROUTI has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Pinellas County Commission. Beyrouti, of Redington Shores, is a small business owner.

JOSEPH SOWELL has been reappointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Holmes County Hospital Corporation. Sowell, of Bonifay, is a retired district supervisor with General Telephone and Electronics.
